Rebuilding Yushu: Please join Tibetan Village Project to help rebuilding lives of those that affected by April 14th earthquake in Yushu. Among others, funds needed to provide winterized tents and rebuild business communites. Click here to learn more.
TVP's rural educational program focuses on Tibetan language preservation and literacy. When you make a donation, it enables us to support about ten schools with 1200 students through stipends, tuition, food, warm blankets and clothing, textbooks, and school supplies. Learn more
Despite of healthcare efforts being made, most of the rural Tibetans still face
enormous challenges due to lack of accessibility, and lack of affordability of
basic healthcare. TVP supports the clinics by providing medical supplies, equipment, stipends, and
frequent training opportunities for healthcare workers. Learn more
The old saying "give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for life" sums up TVP’s intention of income generation program. This program is consisted of trainings in skills such as weaving and woodworking and microfinance development. Learn more
Ecotourism: Tibet is a special travel destination and tourism is one of the biggest sources of income for the region. However, people question whether or not their tourist dollars help or hurt the Tibetan way of life and the environment. We believe it all has to start with education for both members of local communities and visitors. Learn more
Cultural
and Outreach: TVP raise awareness of Tibetan culture and all aspects of project
development through Tibetan photo exhibits, presentations, and cultural events.
This is an ongoing effort, in which TVP organizes 4 - 6 events annually.
